Answer

Here are some troubleshooting options:

  1. Close the OverDrive app along with any other unnecessary apps.
    • Double-click the Home button to open your "recents list."
    • Swipe up on the OverDrive app to close it. Or, if you're not using iOS 7 or newer, tap and hold the OverDrive icon until it begins to shake. Tap the red minus sign to close it.
    • Close any other unneeded apps the same way.
    • Press the Home button to exit your "recents list."
    • Open the OverDrive app and check the app bookshelf. If titles are missing, try downloading them again.

  2. Restart your device.
    • Hold down the Power button until the red "slide to power off" slider appears.
    • Power your device off.
    • Hold down the Power button until your screen lights up.
    • Open the OverDrive app and check the app bookshelf. If titles are missing, try downloading them again.

  3. Reauthorize your device.
    • Tap Settings from the Home menu. If you're using the legacy version of our app, you'll find "Settings" under Get Books+.
    • Tap Deauthorize.
    • Tap Authorize, then use your OverDrive account or Adobe ID.
    • If this doesn't resolve your issue, please continue to step 4.

  4. Uninstall then reinstall the OverDrive app.

This will clear your bookshelf, history, and app settings. You can save the list of titles in your history by going to Home Menu > History > Edit. Tap Select All, then Share. From there, you can email the list wherever you like.

Note: If you're using a 1st generation iPhone or iPod touch, please back up OverDrive's app to iTunes before uninstalling. The OverDrive app is no longer available for your device from the App Store.
    • Tap and hold the OverDrive icon until it begins to shake.
    • Tap the "X" on the icon.
    • Tap Delete to remove the app.
    • Tap the Home button to return to your home screen.
    • Install the OverDrive app from the App Store and try downloading the titles again.
    • Log into your OverDrive account or reauthorize your device in older versions of the app.
