Why is my account blocked?

Library accounts can be blocked for a variety of reasons. The account may have billed items on it, another possibility is that the account has expired. If your account has a 5-item limit pending address verification, you will not be able to place holds, or use our Virtual Library or Libby. 

Because there are many reasons as to why a library account is blocked, the best thing to do if you don't know why your account is blocked is to call the Thousand Oaks Library at (805) 449-2660, and select option 3.

Please note that you will need to provide Library staff with your library card number in order to access your account and confirm your identity. Library staff are unable to access library card accounts without a library card number.
