To place a hold, you can start by logging in to your Vega account, or you can just click the "Place Hold" button when viewing your title in the Library Catalog.

Help for placing holds in Vega can be seen here

You will need your Library card number and PIN to place a hold.

Freeze or Suspend your Hold:  When a hold is frozen, it means your position in the hold queue is skipped over until the request is reactivated.  This allows you to stay in the hold queue and keep moving up as holds are fulfilled ahead of your hold position. It also allows holds be filled for patrons further down the queue when you are unable to pick up the item.

How do I manage my holds?

Log in to your Library account to view or manage holds. You can check your account online by logging in to "My Account" and entering your library card number and PIN. Once you are logged in, you can see all items checked out to you as well as your holds.

Freeze / Unfreeze Holds

Log in to your account and navigate to the “holds” page.  You will see an option at the right margin to Cancel hold, with a “v” at the end indicating menu options.  Click the “v” and you will see the option to “freeze” pop up.
