The Thousand Oaks Library processes new passport applications. Please see the passport Appointment page for details of our  services https://www.tolibrary.org/services/passport-appointment

Passport service is by appointment only - please follow the instructions on our Passport page to make an appointment - Staff cannot make appointments for you.

Location:
Thousand Oaks Grant R. Brimhall Library -
Children's Library Passport Counter
1401 E. Janss Road
Thousand Oaks, CA 91362

Note: It can be quite hard to get an appointment, if you are unable to get one through our site, you may want to check for Post Offices that process passport applications at https://tools.usps.com/rcas.htm.

You may find that the Ventura County Law Center has passport appointments when other agencies are busy.

Most passport locations do not have walk-ins at this time, one exception we know of is the Van Nuys Post Office Passport Mega Center - they do have walk-ins allowed Monday - Friday from 9:30-6 and Saturdays from 9-5. If you choose this option, please be aware that they caution users that being in line to walk-in does not guarantee that a person will be able to see an agent and process their application.  The phone number to Van Nuys (818) 374-5650 accesses an information menu only, no appointments or passport advice are offered by telephone.

Note: The Travel.state.gov website states that the Point Dume Station has walk in hours for passport processing.  This is outdated information, Pt. Dume Station does not process any walkins at this time.

Here is a Checklist of everything you should bring to your appointment. Remember to make those photocopies of your documents ahead of time.

For emergency travel, please see: emergency appointments.
