Q. Will the Library be open - upcoming holiday

Please note, whenever there is a holiday closure, Self-Service Access to the buildings' lobbies is also closed. 

In 2024, the Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park Libraries have the following closures / hours changes:

January 1 2025 New Year's Day both libraries are closed

January 2 2025 Both libraries resume normal hours

January 14 &15 2025 Newbury Park Library is closed due to a power outage. Thousand Oaks Library is currently open. 

January 20 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

February 17 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Presidents' Day

May 26 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Memorial Day

July 4 2025 Both libraries will be closed for the 4th of July

September 1 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Labor Day

November 11 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Veterans' Day

November 27 and 28 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Thanksgiving

December 25 2025 Both libraries will be closed for Christmas
