Library cards expire every three years, to renew your card you need to bring your library card and your current government-issued ID and visit either the Thousand Oaks or Newbury Park Library in person. Cards cannot be renewed online or over the phone. If your ID does not have your current street address, please bring a bill or other official mail dated within the last 60 days showing your address. A full list of accepted proof of address is listed here: https://www.tolibrary.org/services/borrower-services/#id_proofs
Unfortunately, we cannot renew expired or expiring digital cards (temporary cards)
If your card hasn't expired, but you want to change the phone number or email on your library card, or if you want to select a different method of notification, you can do this online, by going to "My Account" and logging in with your card number and PIN.
Then, click on the "Edit Account" button at the upper left of the account screen.
Enter your new information, and click "Submit" (if you do not see the submit button at first, scroll down).
To change your street address on your account you must come in person to either the Thousand Oaks or Newbury Park libraries, and present proof of address. A list of acceptable forms of proof are listed on our "Borrower Services" page.
Unfortunately, due to privacy concerns, we cannot provide library card numbers over the phone or by email.
