Q. How can I find help on using Libby?

 Libby is an innovative in-browser and mobile app from OverDrive designed to make borrowing and enjoying  ebooks, magazines , streaming services  and audiobooks  from the library easier than ever.

• Checkout period: eBooks and eAudiobooks 7, 14 days, or 21 days; streaming eVideos 3, 5, or 7 days, set by users.
• Checkout Limit: 5
• Max. holds: 5
• ebooks, eaudiobooks, and magazines are automatically returned at the end of the loan period, so you never have to worry about overdues!

When you have installed the app, you will use the set up menu (on a phone, see the three lines in the center of the graphic on your Libby screen) where you can add a library (Thousand Oaks) and then to input your library card number and PIN.

You can search for titles using the icon that looks like a magnifying glass or Q on the lower left of the Libby Screen, you can also browse by category.

If you find your holds or bookshelf does not have titles you think you should have - please check you are logged in to the correct library under "Manage Cards" 

If the app still doesn't look right, you may just need to refresh your app: 

• Clear the cache on your device and reopen Libby

If you receive error messages, or if you have recently changed library card numbers, please contact us at Ask-a-Librarian, and if possible include the text or a screenshot of the error message.

Check out 7-day unlimited Streaming Media   including popular live concerts, the Great Courses, and award-winning indie films within the Libby app by tapping Extras on the libbyapp’s homepage with your library card number and PIN. Content is accessible from your desktop computer or the Libby app on mobile devices. 

The Great Courses offers engaging and understandable lectures by esteemed professors, professionals, and experts in topics ranging from history, better living, science, language learning, and much more.

IndieFlix is a streaming movie service that offers access to pop culture favorites, box office hits, award-winning feature films, documentaries, and shorts.
