You will need to have your library card:

  • If you wish to check out books or other materials
  • If you wish to place a hold on anything
  • If you wish to make an ILL request for books the library doesn't own.
  • If you wish to use our Virtual Library databases and ebook content.

You do not need a library card to:

  • Use reference books and other materials while you are at the library
  • Use the Internet workstations (please stop at the Information Desk to get a computer pass)
  • Purchase materials from the Friend's Used Book Sale
  • Ask questions or make passport appointments

If you think of something not covered here, please submit your question in Ask-a-Librarian or by Texting us at 805-253-2906

Remember - Library cards are free and do not require residence in the City of Thousand Oaks.
