Wireless Printing

Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park Library offers Wireless Printing during Open Hours and Self-Service Hours.  Black-and-white printing costs $0.15 per page, and color printing is $0.50 per page.  Cell data connection may be limited inside the Library. Please feel free to connect to the Library WiFi before sending the documents. Print jobs stay in our queue for pickup for 24 hours, and will then be deleted.

Photocopying

Copiers are available at both libraries, and can print in black & white or color.  The cost is $0.15 per page for b&w, and $0.50 for color.

Printing and copying are performed on standard 20lb letter-size (8 1/2 x 11 inches) bright white paper. Other types of paper, labels, or photo papers are not permitted to avoid causing damage to the copiers and printers.

PDFs - beware!

PDFs that are in non-standard sizes (anything other than "letter" size 8 1/2 x 11, even if smaller) or have narrow margins outside the print area are typically rejected by the printer automatically. If you see a prompt in your PDF to “enable all features,” it is crucial to do so before printing, as Princh will be unable to process the document otherwise, regardless of the selected printing method.

Large Files Advisory

Sending very large files to the print queue may cause job failure. If your print job exceeds 20MB and fails to print, please send the document in multiple sessions. On the Princh website https://print.princh.com, you can manage your print job by sending separate print sessions.  For example, you can tell it to print the first 30 pages in one session and then print the remaining 30 pages (pages 31-60) in a separate session. Visit https://support.princh.com/en/file-size for detailed help. Should your print job fail to print, please see a staff member at the Information Desk for assistance.

Printing photos of objects or documents from your phone

If you use your phone camera to capture an image of a document or ID, or just to print one of your photos, please be aware that the image will print as a full-size 8.5x11 inch document. We suggest you use our on-site computers to import the photo to a Word Document to resize it before printing.  Alternately, you may want to simply bring in the document or ID and use our photocopier for this purpose.

How can I send my Print Jobs?

We have implemented Princh, a new printing solution, at our libraries. With our new solution it is now possible to easily and securely print from a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop, both remotely and at the library.

Printing Cost: 15¢ per black-and-white page; 50¢ per color page.

To pick up your document, visit a Print Release Terminal in the library within 24 hours. If not, within 24 hours, you may need to send your job again.

How can I see my print jobs were received?

If you choose the email option to send your documents to our printers, you will get an email confirmation for each print job sent.

If you send your documents through the PRINCH website https://print.princh.com, you can change the number of pages printed per job and will see confirmation the job was received in the print queue, see the screenshot below.
