You can send documents to the Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park Library printers by using our Wireless Printing Options

If you are in the library, we recommend getting on Library WiFi to speed the process.

Black-and-white printing costs $0.15 per page, and color printing is $0.50 per page.

Printing is done to standard plain white multi-use 20lb Letter size (8 1/2 x 11 inches) bright white paper.  The use of other papers, labels, or photo papers is not allowed due to the risk of damage to the copiers/printers.

Sending very large files to the print queue will result in job failure. The queue has a limit of less than 100MB per file, or no more than 60 pages.

PDFs - beware!

PDF documents with non-letter size formatting (sizes other than 8 1/2 x 11, even if they are smaller than that size), or with narrow margins that are outside the print area will typically be automatically rejected by the Printer.

If you open your PDF and see a prompt to “enable all features,” you MUST do that before sending it to print or Princh won’t be able to receive the document – no matter which printing method you choose.

How can I see my pending print jobs?

If you choose the email option to send your documents to our printers, you will get an email confirmation for each print job sent.

If you send your documents through PRINCH, there will be a queue of print jobs at the print release station when you come to the library, but there is not a way to view that queue remotely.

Printing photos of objects or documents from your phone

if you use your phone camera to capture an image of a document or ID, or just to print one of your photos, please be aware that the image will print as a full-size 8.5x11 inch document.  It is not possible to resize or edit images while sending to the print queue, whether you are using PRINCH or the email option. We suggest you use our on-site computers to import the photo to a Word Document, to resize before printing.  Alternately, you may want to simply bring in the document or ID and use our photocopier for this purpose.
