Yes!  Patrons are encouraged to submit purchase suggestions by clicking on "Suggest a Purchase

  • Please check the  library catalog  to ensure the title is not already in our collection before submitting your request. If you're unsure, you can always contact us via Ask A Librarian for further assistance.

  • Library staff will review the suggestions submitted and select materials that are available from library vendors and fit within the scope of the collection. Preference will be given to items published in the past 2 years.
  • Older items that were published more than 2 years ago are eligible for InterLibrary Loan.  You can check for older titles by going to WorldCat

If you are looking for ebooks and eaudiobooks on Libby, you can make a purchase suggestion by tagging a book we do not own with "Notify Me" from Libby.  Click here for instructions on using Libby's Notify Me option.

Movies and DVDs can also be requested through the Suggest a Purchase link.

  • When we don't purchase a video title, it is often because the title is only available on streaming platforms.

So, if you recommend a move or TV title that was produced by a streaming source, such as HBO, Apple, or Amazon Prime, or if the production company owns its own streaming platform, such as Disney, we often find the titles are unavailable for purchase on spinning disc media (DVDs or Blu-Ray).  For example, this is the reason we cannot get the "Killers of the Flower Moon" which is currently an Apple TV exclusive.
