Yes, we provide free Wifi in both Grant R Birmhall Library and Newbury Park Library. Once in the building, browse wifi networks, select "Library," when it connects you should get our Agreement page, scroll to the bottom and click "Agree" and you should be online.

Finding Library Wifi Hot Spots To find the Library's hot spots, click on your wireless icon in the taskbar.

If no icon is present:

  1. Click Start , Settings , then Network Connections
  2. Right click Wireless Network Connection and then click View Available Wireless Networks (a list of wireless access points appears in the Available Networks box)
  3. Click the LIBRARY SSID wireless network connection
  4. Click Connect
  5. Go to Web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari:
  6. Go to: http://www.tolibrary.org
  7. The browser will redirect the page to the Wireless Internet Policy page, then click Agree .
  8. After the Session Authorized (in green) , click on the link to go back the Library website.

Connecting with Different Operating Systems

Windows OS

  1. Right click My Network Places/Network Neighborhood
  2. Go to Properties
  3. Double click Wireless Adapter (or simply click on your vendor icon for the wireless adapter in the lower right hand tool bar)
  4. SSID (network name) = LIBRARY and a DHCP address will be allocated automatically
  5. WEP = disable WEP encryption
  6. Mode or Network Type = Infrastructure mode or access point
  7. Open a Web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer:
  8. Go to: http://www.tolibrary.org and click to Agree to the Wireless Internet Policy to proceed to browsing the Internet.

MAC OS

  1. Click on System Preferences from the Apple Menu
  2. Double click the Network logo
  3. Under Show Menu select AirPort
  4. Close window
  5. Open Internet Connect and turn on AirPort
  6. From Network Menu select  LIBRARY
  7. Open a Web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari:
  8. Go to: http://www.tolibrary.org and click Agree to the Wireless Internet Policy to proceed to browsing the Internet.
