Audio Books and Braille:

  • We have a selection of braille books for children in the library as well as Spoken Word (Audio) books (on CD) for both children and adults.  We also offer PlayAways, small self-contained audiobooks that have an entire book loaded on one player.  Also available through the Library's website is a collection of downloadable audiobooks that may be listened to on a computer or portable device such as a mobile phone. For more information about the downloadable audiobooks, please visit the Library's website at:  http://www.tolibrary.org/ebooks.

  • Additionally, the Braille Institute in Los Angeles offers a free service through the NLS in which items in audio format or braille are delivered to people with low or no vision.  For more information about how to sign up for that free service, you may go to the Braille Institute's website at: http://www.brailleinstitute.org or call them toll-free at 1-800-424-8567.
