Answer

If you accidentally dropped an item from another Library System in our book drops, or if you dropped your Thousand Oaks Library System items in another library's book drops, please let us know by using Ask-a-Librarian or by calling us at 805-449-2660, option 3.

We recommend picking up mis-returned books and delivering them to the owning library system yourself.  When mis-returned books are not picked up, they will be returned to the owning library on a monthly basis, but you may accrue fines or have your account blocked during that time.

If you think you returned your own personal book, video or CD to the Thousand Oaks Library System, please contact us right away.  If we are not made aware of the items, they are usually presumed to be donations, and given to the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library for sale after 30 days.
