How can I pick up books without coming in to the Library?
Please park in the designated spots on the Children’s side of the Thousand Oaks Library for pickup during the following hours:
Regular Hours for Curbside Pickup:
Monday - Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
You will be notified by the Library when your item(s) are ready to be picked up. The Library suggests using email or text as your notification method so that you will receive your notice as soon as possible and be able to pick up your hold items.
Need help? Please call us at (805) 381-7355.
All Thousand Oaks Library cardholders with a hold ready for pickup at the Thousand Oaks Grant R. Brimhall Library may use Curbside Pickup.
Please be sure to bring your cell phone, library card, and photo identification with you to Curbside Pickup. Staff will bring your items out to your vehicle.
Find the items you want and request holds using the Library’s catalog: https://thols.na2.iiivega.com/
If you need help placing a hold on items, please contact us by phone at 805-449-2660 during library open hours. You may also text your question to 805-253-2906, or contact us through Ask a Librarian asktolnow.tolibrary.org
Login to My Account to check the status of your item(s) under the Holds tab. If the status says “Ready For Pickup,” then you can schedule a Curbside Pickup or walk into the Library to pick up your item(s). You may also call the library at 805-449-2660, option 5 to speak to staff and check on your holds. Please have your library card number available.
Once you are notified that your held items are ready for pickup, you have seven days to come and get them before they are passed to the next person on the hold list. "My Account" shows when the hold period will expire.
Please use the Drive-up book drops available at either the Thousand Oaks or Newbury Park Library. Patrons can also return items directly inside either library. Please do not hand returns to library staff when you are picking up items.
